Hello everyone!
I was never very interested in the idea of blogging until this semester. Blogs provide a useful forum for discussion in our modern digital world and I hope this blog is no different. While I think open discussion is great and should be encouraged whenever possible, I would like for this blog to be more reflective of concepts and applications that are related to the area of Special Education and how technology can better support Special Education students needs. I certainly have no intention of discouraging anyone from posting their ideas and opinions on any (helpful/positive) subjects related to integrating technology into the classroom, but, in order to make this discussion a bit more focused I would greatly appreciate posts that focus on a more specified area. Throughout this semester, I have found numerous resources and information that was new to me and could be applied efficiently to SPED settings in the middle and high schools I have worked in. Are there any resources or technology tools that directly support SPED that people have found that they think are worth sharing? What about resources that you have discovered for general education that might be able to be modified to use in a SPED setting? Please feel free to continue this discussion or discuss your own ideas that we can all build on as my prompts/blog are not intended to deter any conversation but to hopefully help steer the conversation in a meaningful direction!
